SCHOOL SOCIETIES & ACTIVITIES
As 95% of the pupils are bussed to school, there is little opportunity for after school activities, but we make every effort in the time we have available. Pupils are regularly involved in lunchtime clubs in Computing, Art, Technology, Librarianship, and numerous Sporting Activities. Each year the school takes part in ski trips to Italy or France. This year we organised a ten day trip to Holland and evryone enjoyed it. These have become very popular as the pupils not only have the chance to experience a new and exciting sport but also meet and mix with pupils from other schools. Trips and excursions are also made to Art Galleries, Museums, Cultural Centres, Out-door Pursuit Centres, Theatres, over the period of the year. Our School Choir has the reputation of being one of the best in the Western Board, and regularly wins regional competitions. The Choir performs at all school services and in the local Church as requested. Fishing competitions are entered annually by a large number of pupils, and mostly take place on the River Bann. The R.E. Department also organises religious retreats for the pupils, which they enjoy.

After a number of years the school put on a production of 'The Greatest Show on Earth'. 84 pupils were involved in this production; singing, dancing, acting and performing circus tricks such as stilt-walking, monocycling and juggling. There was also, included in this number, a large support team behind the scenes.
