Pupils are often influenced in their choice of subjects by either; a) what their friends are opting for and/or b) their favourite teacher/s This is not advisable.
All pupils will follow the compulsory core subjects to GCSE level. COMPULSORY CORE SUBJECTS
If their teacher feels that they may struggle to achieve a grade at this level in the core subjects, they will be entered for a "Certificate of Education" level. When the subject options have been decided, please complete the back page and return the Options Form to the school as soon as possible. Any delay may result in your child not getting their first choice due to limited places on that course. The following pages give details of the courses that are available at examination level which you should read carefully before any decision is made.
