Pupils find History both interesting and stimulating. As a subject,
History involves not only the study of the past, but also develops skills
and understanding of our present world in relation to its historical background.
GCSE History relates to events in the 20th century.
Assessment
There are options of achievement
Higher Level - grades A* to E and Foundation - grades C to G.
Certificate of Education (History) is also offered who find GCSE too
demanding.

3. Superpower Rivalry - 1945 to the present day.
International relations between USA, USSR and China.
Developments since World War II Flashpoints e.g.
Cuban Crisis 1962, Arms race, etc. |
| 4. Coursework – Holocaust, Civil Rights in USA - Source based work. |
FOR THE FUTURE
This course offers the opportunity to study this subject further to
A-Level and even to degree level, but it is frequently used as a subject
to pursue other careers in Law, Tourism, Retail Industry, Medicine, Agricultural
Management, Transport, Politics, but to name just a few.
