Geography is the study of people and countries of the world. It
develops an understanding and appreciation of the values, cultures and
environments of peoples of the world and thus gives us a greater insight
into the world around us.
Assessment
The course is made up from three main sections
| 1. Coursework (20%) |
Based on a 2500 word project. The fieldwork for this takes
place in Year 11 and the report is submitted by November in Year l2. |

FOR THE FUTURE
Geography is regarded as a science as well as a humanities subject.
This course forms the basis for further and higher education and can be
studied further to A-Level as well as degree level. It is often used to
widen career choices as diverse as Medicine, Law, Town & Country Planning,
Marketing, Teaching, Environmental Health, Land Surveying & Architecture.
