ST JOSEPH'S HIGH SCHOOL
.
PUPIL TALK.
.
Hi, our names are Miriam Gormley and Breige McBride. We are both thirteen years old and are both in 9B at St Joseph’s High School Plumbridge. There are thirteen girls and fourteen boys in our class, about twenty teachers, about three hundred pupils and twenty classrooms. Last year I emigrated from England just before the first term started I got on the bus at 8.35 in the morning and I was really nervous. I felt like a fish out of the sea, I was the odd one out because I had an English accent and everyone else had an Irish accent

As I got on the bus and looked around there was only a couple of seats left,1 had to sit in the front seat with someone I didn't know. On then way to school it was very quiet, though I soon got used to it.Michael, my bus driver told me to write my full name and address as I was the new comer to the bus.We collected two people on the way.We then passed a corner and then I spotted the school it wasn't far now, we went through the open gates. On the bus I never would have thought how happy I would be at this school

Breige has lived in the Plumbridge area all her life. Plumbridge is a small friendly village with a lot of facilities, there are three hairdressers, three shops a post office, a factory, playschool and one primary and secondary school I like to play Tennis and Netball which luckily I get to play at St Josephs in my PE class. I also like to play football, which I also get to play in my PE class and on a Monday afternoon I do football training with David Campbell Miss Devine our Home Economics teacher has organised a school tip to Holland in April 2000. I am really looking forward to this trip as I have never been abroad before.

On my first day at St Joseph’s I was real nervous. When I got into the cloakroom it looked very empty because there was very little people in. I looked around and I didn't know anybody. Other people started coming in and I saw some of my friends from my primary school I was very relieved to see them.

When Miriam and I first seen each other we didn't even know each others names, but we soon became very good friends in our first few weeks at St Joseph’s, we both agree that this school is friendly and enjoyable.
