| DRUG AWARENESS
The school is very aware of the growing menace of drugs especially for the young. All teachers in the school have received awareness training. A policy is also in place to address any problem should the need ever arise. St. Joseph's also has a Drug Awareness Week where pupils are made aware of the potential dangers of drug abuse. The school also has video-conferencing links with other schools during this time to discuss drug-related issues. Upper school pupils are involved in this conference, representing the school and the views of the pupils. Fortunately being a rural school we are less exposed to drug related problems. |
