SCHOOL DISCIPLINE
The main aim of school discipline is to promote good behaviour, so
as to help pupils develop a sense of self-discipline and an acceptance
of responsibility for their own actions. We endeavour to create an atmosphere
of mutual respect so that effective learning can take place and where there
is respect for persons and their environment.
School rules are published annually at the back of the pupil's Day Book
which parents are asked to read and sign.
Discipline problems are recorded. Parents are informed where necessary.
Parents will be asked to the school or the Home School Links teacher will
visit the home if the discipline problem is of a serious nature or of a
grave concern. Should the Governors need to suspend or expel a pupil we
shall follow the procedures laid down in our School Policy and those of
the Council for Catholic Maintained Schools. Copies of the School Discipline
Policy are available on request.. |
