CHARGING & REMISSION POLICIES
It is the Governors' Policy that a charge should be made for the following:
1. Board and lodging on residential visits.
2. The cost of entering a pupil for a second approved public examination in the same academic year in the same subject, i.e., Double Entry.
3. The cost of any re-scrutiny of examination results if the parents request such a re-scrutiny.
4. The cost in cash, or in kind of ingredients or materials needed for practical subjects (such as Home Economics or Design & Technology) if parents have indicated BEFOREHAND a wish to own the finished product.
5. Optional extra activities that take place wholly or mainly outside school hours and are additional to the education provided by the school for the purposes of preparing pupils for an approved school syllabus. Participation in any such activities is to be on the basis of parental choice and the willingness to meet such charges as are made, e.g., transport and entry fees to local swimming pools, ice rink, bowling alleys, sports halls, musical performances, concerts, plays, sporting events, visits, etc.
6. Deliberate damage to school property, or loss of or damage to schoolbooks.

REMISSION POLICY
It is a statutory requirement that where parents are in receipt of Income Support or Family Credit, the full cost of board and lodgings for any residential visit will be refunded, if the activity takes place during school hours or is part of the school curriculum
