Hotel Tour

Situated in the heart of South Kensington, one of the most stylish and sought-after locations of London, 5 Sumner Place Hotel brings the charm and elegance of a former age to the twenty-first century. This small, privately owned hotel is part of an impressive, white Victorian terrace built around 1848 on the borders of South Kensington and Knightsbridge. The building is to be preserved by law because of its architectural merit.

The hotel itself has been sympathetically refurbished to re-create the ambience and style of a bygone era. Entering the elegant reception hall, where a warm and friendly welcome awaits you, you will be escorted to your room with the minimum of fuss. A lift is provided to serve all floors.

After registration, you will be given your own front door key so that you can come and go as you please. We aim to ensure that you enjoy your stay in the heart of London!

All bedrooms have been individually designed and tastefully decorated with the emphasis on traditional period furnishings. All have colour television, radio, telephone, and a refrigerator.

Every morning you will be able to take breakfast amongst the graceful shrubs and flowers in our magnificent Victorian style conservatory which leads onto our paved patio, where, in the finer weather, one can relax after a hard day of business or sightseeing.

The hotel is ideally placed forvisiting the sights of London - by bus, tube or taxi. South Kensington underground station (direct line to Heathrow airport - approximately 40 minutes), is within 350 yards of The Natural History Museum, the Science Museum, the Victoria and Albert Museum, the Albert Hall and many other tourist attractions are all within easy walking distance.

It is an ideal location for shopping with Harrods, Harvey Nichols, Peter Jones, the Michelin Building and the other famous shops of Knightsbridge and Kensington nearby.
