NAVAL CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP
TENETS OF MEMBERSHIP
Members of the Naval Christian Fellowship are committed to the profession of a
personal faith and loyalty to Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord; the daily
practice of Bible reading and prayer in which they remember each other; and
fellowship with other Christians in seeking to extend the Kingdom of our Lord
Jesus Christ through consistent Christian conduct, conscientious application to
duty and personal witness to His power.
NCF BASIS OF BELIEF
The following Basis of Belief is in our Fellowship Rules which
are held by the UK Charities Commission. Those of our members
who are Trustees or who hold a position of leadership are
required to subscribe to these tenets.
- The Bible is the inspired Word of God and the ultimate
authority in matters of faith.
- God has revealed Himself to man as a Trinity of three Persons, God the Father, God the Son and
God the Holy Spirit.
- Man was created in the image and likeness of God, but as a
result of the fall, his state is such that, without the Grace of
God, he is in bondage to sin.
- Jesus Christ, the Son of God, became man and atoned for the
sin of men by His substitutionary death and His resurrection.
- The conversion of men, whereby they turn to God, and their
salvation, in which the righteousness of Jesus Christ is imputed
to them, are the work of the Holy Spirit.
- The Christian is called to a life of holiness through the
exercise of faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and the practice of
godly living under the influence of the Holy Spirit.
- Jesus Christ will come again and God will judge the world.
