Where is Middlesbrough?

For the benefit of our overseas visitors, Middlesbrough is located in the North-East of England, in that area variously known as Teesside, Tees Valley, Cleveland, or the North Riding of Yorkshire.
The world famous explorer and cartographer, Captain James Cook was born at Marton, now a suburb of Middlesbrough.
Our links page has a few links to local web-sites.
Incidentally, despite what MS-Word and other spell checkers may tell you, there is only ONE O in Middlesbrough, though there are two in Boro, its usual abbreviation.
