    Mayfly Containers Ltd. is recognised as being the largest producer of offshore containers in Europe.

    Our experienced team of designers includes the "Principal UK Expert for the Design and Manufacture of Offshore Containers", sitting on the BSI and CEN technical committees for the standardisation of the requirements for offshore containers.

   Det Norske Veritas (DNV) is the Norwegian classification society, and currently offshore containers are designed and tested to DNV Certification Notes 2.7-1, under the approval and survey requirements of DNV, with design approval taking place at DNV Headquarters in Oslo, Norway or Lloyds Register of Shipping (LR) in Croydon, UK.

    As the offshore containers are designed in accordance with DNV Certification Notes 2.7-1, third party inspection and survey is carried out by either DNV or LR before the containers are released for service.

    Prior to the afore mentioned survey, our In House Inspectors will examine and perform non-destructive examination (NDE) on a percentage of the container’s structural welds.
