Alderney is closest to France fifteen minutes away by plane. While Sark has been dubbed the Capri of the north. Cars are not allowed in Sark, both islands are very busy during the summer season and workers require work permits. Alderney apply Guernsey's Right to Work and Tax rules. Workers in Sark pay no Income Tax. Employers subscribe to Private Health Insurance. Both Islands are mostly busy during the summer season. Sark is reached by boat (approx. 40 minutes), Alderney is reached by plane (approx. 15 minutes) from Guernsey.
