This band are a concoction of Razors Edge and Avalon, the first highly accomplished - the latter a relative newcomer. As such I wasn't sure what to expect, but I wasn't to be disappointed. The first song - As a Warrior (I Salute You) is a belter, obviously dedicated to Ian Stuart and the CD takes off from there. Some of the songs are better than others, but the overall quality and sound of Thunderbolt is top class. A little too much of the "Gods n Warriors drinking mead from hornéd helmets at Ragnarok" type stuff for my pallet, but a good CD with clear lyrics, good guitarwork etc.
