Dead After Dark, a UK-based indie roots rock band, ceased touring in March 1999, after nine years of independently touring and recording their own music. The music lives on, on CD and cassette, and many of the former musicians are still playing live with other outfits.

Last CD: See

"Dead After Dark...musically innovative and lyrically clued in."

"Dead After Dark...strength and drive that is at once effective and attractive"

The CD presents a taste of the material that they were taking to venues across the UK and Finland to an army of fans. Hailing from the English Midlands, the band played a distinctive blend of music that has rock, folk and punk overtones, but defies being classified within any of these genres. Steff's powerful lyrics and distinctive voice added to their unique sound and the CD demonstrates both the bright and the dark side of this band: "See" gives an insight into the variety and diversity that epitomises Dead After Dark.

Although the original band is no longer touring, their music can still occasionally be heard on independent radio stations in Europe and the USA. The track "You Don't See Me Anymore" was released on a 25Records CD compilation "Olive's Army" in June 1999, which was circulated to press and radio stations throughout Europe and America, and "YDSMA" has been played on radio stations in the USA and Sweden. Dead After Dark had already had airplay in Britain, Norway and in four American states, with their own album and e.p. releases.
