My first new car. It was a tough decision between the Peugeot 205 and the Uno at the time, but in the end the Uno won, mainly on trim and equipment levels. I also found the design more cohesive, if not quite as cute.

After a couple of years, I embarked on a series of upgrades to the standard specification, including a Cobra remote central locking/alarm system, electric windows, electric sunroof, Pioneer stereo with boot-mounted CD changer, interior re-trim, Italvolanti leather steering wheel, rear head-restraints and SX-type integral front fog-lights. This marked the beginning of a penchant for small but highly-specified cars.
