A lovely converted barn in the rolling wooded hills of the Limousin, the French lake district directly to the north of Limoges.

The local lake, Lac  de Saint Pardoux is just seven miles away and offers 3 sandy beaches, beautiful scenery and safe bathing - pedalos, sailing boats for hire and you can also water  ski.

Miles and miles of wonderful marked footpaths and cycle routes in  the Monts du Blond nearby.

The medieval riverside town of Montmorrillon with its many book  shops and weekly market on Wednesday is just a short drive away.

The thousand year old university city of Limoges is only a 25 minute drive away: it has an indoor market, cathedral and porcelain outlets for which the city is famous.

The memorial village of Oradour Sur Glane is not far distant - a  poignant reminder of one of the worst cases of wartime atrocities, which happened on the 10th June 1944.

Accommodations: There are two double rooms and one twin room, one of which is on the ground floor and is ideal for those with restricted mobility. Each room has a modern bathroom with a bath tub, shower and heated towel rail.

A child's cot is available on request.

Guests are invited to make use of the guest lounge with wood burning stove, English television and radio, WiFi access and tea and coffee making facilities.

Private garden with a choice of terraces on which to relax and enjoy a glass of wine.









Other Details:
Our basic tariff includes a continental breakfast with fresh croissants and pain au chocolat collected from the local boulangerie
each morning. A cooked breakfast can be provided by arrangement at a small additional cost.

Evening meals are available on request (24 hours notice please) -   delicious home cooked vegetarian and fish dishes are cooked by Paul using home grown ingredients whenever possible.

Open all year.

Secure off road parking in the grounds.

No smoking is permitted in the barn.
