Found a new 'Where are they now ?' feature at the official Nottingham Forest Football Club website, for which you will require free registration. Please visit the site to see many featured players.Here'sjust a few relevant to the 70-71 season.

Bill (John) Brindley (Notts County) Assistant manager of Arnold Town.

Further investigation of the Northern Counties East Premier League club website showed that some further ex-Notts County players are involved in the management team. Ray O'Brien is the General Manager, and Iain McCulloch is the Manager.

A schoolboy and Youth International he started his professional career with Nottingham Forest in 1962. Joining Notts County in 1968 he was part of their promotion sides in 1970/71 and 73/74.

Following further league games for Gillingham he moved into non-league football with Grantham, Burton and Alfreton. Assistant manager at Grantham he was manager at Heanor and Ilkeston before moving to join Iain McCulloch as Assistant Manager at Arnold four years ago.

Peter Cormack (Nottingham Forest) After working as a scout for Liverpool, he became manager of Cowdenbeath for 10 days in Dec. 2000, but was sacked without the team playing a game. From July 2001-March 2002 Peter was at Greenock Morton.

Chris Crowe (Retired) Came out of retirement to play for non-league Bath City in 1971. Last heard of living in Bristol and working as a taxi driver.

Peter Grummitt (Sheffield Wednesday) Now lives in Newark

Peter Hindley (Nottingham Forest) 'Tank' lives in Peterborough and works as a painter and decorator.

Alan Hinton (Derby County) Lives in Seattle, Washington. Left England in 1977 and has had an impressive coaching career at various clubs across the USA and Canada up until the mid 90s, finishing up at the Seattle Sounders.

Tom Johnston (York City manager) Played for Hearts, Peterborough United, Northampton Town, Leicester City, Nottingham Forest, Notts County, youth coach at Birmingham City 56/57, manager of Heanor Town, manager of Rotherham United, manager of Grimsby Town, Huddersfield Town, York City, general manager of Huddersfield Town, returned to Stapleford  Died December 1994, aged 76.

George Lyall (Preston North End) His daughter Louise writes and told the official site: "Dad is living in Derbyshire, working for himself but found mainly on the golf course with my brother Graham who's a professional golfer. Dad is 55, fit and well, still happily married to my mum Linda "

Neil Martin (Coventry City) (Neil moved to Nottingham Forest in February 1971, later moved on to Brighton and Hove Albion and Crystal Palace). Now lives at New Oscott, Sutton Coldfield in the West Midlands.

Dennis Peacock (Nottingham Forest apprentice) Now a prison officer near Lincoln

David Serella (Nottingham Forest apprentice) He allegedly scored the best ever own goal and is now a Milkman in St Annes, Lancs

Frank Wignall (Derby County) Lives in Ruddington and helps coach the Ruddington Colts Under 21s including his grandson..

Gary Bowyer - son of Ian Bowyer (Manchester City) - he was a youth player at Forest. He is now the Under 17 youth coach at Derby County. See Next Generation
