news:
January was the transfer
window. Two of the next generation palyers moved during
this time, Jon Gould to Preston North End, and Stephen
Clemence to Birmingham City. See below.
Willie Morgan's (Manchester United)
daughter, Gaynor Morgan was on Radio 4 earlier in the
month defending the billionaire pop singer Michael
Jackson. It seems she knows the singer and is intending
to publically send her ten year old son, Alex, to spend
the night at Michael's Neverland mansion.
Speaking
after a controversial documentary on the singer by Martin
Bashir, she insisted that there is nothing odd in a 44
year old man wanting to spend nights alone in a bedroom
with 12 year old boys and that the World is being a tad
harsh on him.
Quoted
in the Guardian (see MediaGuardian.co.uk
Broadcast I was betrayed by Bashir, rages Jackson) Ms Morgan said:
"I
was very, very impressed with Michael Jackson and
thought he came across as a very loving, kind
person."
The
Wilmslow Express reported the following at Wilmslow Express - News (Click to see the
original article which includes a picture of the mother
and son.)
A
MUM, who is taking her son, ten, to sleep at the
house of pop star Michael Jackson, says: "I
trust Jacko with my boy."
Pop singer, Gaynor Morgan, 28, is staying at her
superstar pal's house in California for two days next
month.
She hit out at claims that his behaviour with
children is inappropriate.
"I would never leave Alex with Michael alone if
I didn't know he is such a kind and caring man.'Why
shouldn't he share his bedroom with children?'
A SHOWBIZ pal of superstar Michael Jackson is to fly
out with her son to the fantasy home of the music
legend to comfort him following international
speculation about his lifestyle.
Mum, Gaynor Morgan of Wilmslow, who works in the
world of pop music, says the trip is an act of faith
in the superstar at a time when he is under attack.
She added she would have no hesitation allowing her
son Alex, 10, to stay unaccompanied at his theme park
style Neverland ranch in California, despite world
wide concerns about his behaviour.
Gaynor, 28, leapt to the defence of Jacko following
the controversial Martin Bashir documentary - in
which he revealed he shared his bedroom with
children.
She accused the programme of "manipulating the
truth" and described the media of
"sensationalism".
Gaynor, who has arranged to spend two nights at
Jackson's home through family friend and US singer
Johnny Mathis, told the Express: "I would have
no concerns about leaving my son at Michael's home. I
have 100 per cent faith in Michael."
Jackson - accused of sexually molesting a boy at his
home ten years ago - caused a storm last week when he
revealed he stayed alone in his bedroom with children
in an ITV documentary. He insisted he slept on the
floor and simply liked the company of children.
Gaynor, from girl group 90% Angels, said: "I do
not believe there is anything wrong with him sharing
his bedroom with these children. He does not share
his bed with them, he sleeps on the floor.
"We should remember that children are very
perceptive and good judges of character, they have a
sixth sense. If Michael had any ulterior motives they
would not stay with him. I believe he has a genuine
affection for children, and nothing more
sinister."
Gaynor's father and former Manchester United star
Willie Morgan has already met Jackson and Gaynor said
he was happy for grandson Alex to go to Neverland.
She said: "People who know him well have told me
he is a very decent man and these are the people I
trust, not the media. My dad Willie was happy for
Alex to go to the ranch and so am I.
"I believe he loves children and that is why he
has spent millions on helping kids around the world.
He had a very sad childhood himself and I think he is
making up for that.
"I am not saying he is perfect but he is not an
evil man."
I
would suggest that if Michael wants to spend the night
believing he is an innocent young boy, he should spend
the night with other 44 year old men who are also
pretending to be innocent young boys. This is much more
natrual, and will prove he is not doing it just to get
cheap kicks from feelings in which he is in probable
denial.

19
January: Michael faced Sunday paper scrutiny
due to an exposé about gambling amongst Premiership
footballers. Michael was accused of losing 30,000
pounds in betting during the England World Cup
campaign. The fact that in in terms of his salary
this would be like me losing a fiver, seems to have
gone unreported.
Michael spent
the following week not so much denying it as saying
the report was exaggerated, and that there was
nothing wrong with betting anyway.

pulled back from 1-0 down to draw 1-1.

1-0 to Blackburn at the time, and the final score was
a 1-1 draw.
22
January Andy played in the home second leg
of the League Cup Semi-final. Blackburn's away goal
would only have counted for double after extra time
had been played, and things looked good when Andy
Cole gave them a 12th minute lead. However, it
finished 1-3 to Man U, and only the 90 minutes were
required.
29
January Andy played his eigth game of the

February Ian featured with his wife Suzi and
step-children, in a documentary 'The Real
Footballers' Wives'. Suzi has previously presented on
TV and was one of the main stars of the show.
Suzi offered
some insight into life in the players lounge, Spurs
was quite formal, Leicester City very relaxed and not
at all bitchy (as long as you're wearing the correct
brand of jeans I guess- ?) She came across as quite
together with it all, above average wealthy, maybe,
but otherwise 'normal'.
Perhaps the
most poigniant moment was when both children said
that they had been unkindly teased about their Dad by
jealous friends. Their response is to say that Ian
was doing a better job of it than their Dads. Good
for them.
Suzi had a
refreshing lack of true footballing insight that
frustrates many of us with non-football supporting
spouses. Enough knowledge to converse with her loved
ones, but an obvious lack of spark that indicates a
full seeing of the light. I mean she 'feels' for Ian
when something goes wrong rather than swearing at him
for letting the side down as any self-respecting
devotee would do.
Natrually, Suzi
struggled with the offside law, that is a female
prerogative, but admitted she sometimes still forgot
that the teams had changed ends at half time... Has
she been talking to Mrs Bob 70-71, it is uncanny !?
And whilst at
Spurs Suzi revealled that prior to their marriage Ian
very nearly blew it all, attracted by the night life
and fast living. He split from Suzi and for 6 months
he lived a wild frenzied shallow existence, we all
crave, but know we don't want really, honest.
He realised the
errors of his ways ... and moved to Leicester a sure
fire way of avoiding excitement if ever there were.
(Mark complaints 'Leicester is fab' and include
tickets to exclusive shows and nightclubs, please).
Wedding bells
soon followed along with regular first team football.
