Scot was on the bench for Scotland's 2-0 away victory
versus Iceland in the Euro 2004 qualifier. Scot
didn't come on, so missed Beri Vogts first victory as
the Scotland manager.
15 October:
Scot played the first 66 minutes of Scotland's home
friendly v Canada. He left the pitch at 2-1, and
Scotland went on to a 3-1 victory. This was Scot's 24

October 2002: Michael gets both goals in a
2-0 away victory for England versus Slovakia in the
Euro 2004 qualifier. England were 1-0 down till
Michael got his two goals in the 65th and 82nd
minutes. Michael was replaced by Owen Hargreaves in
the 86th minute.
This is Michael's 43rd cap, and he has now moved up
to 20 full international goals, which is equal 16th
with Martin Peters in the list of all time England

October, 2002: In the second European
Championship match of the week, Michael played all of
the home match versus Macedonia. The match was played
at Sothampton's St Mary's Stadium.
All the goals in the 2-2 draw came in the first half,
and Michael was unlucky to not add to his goals
total.
England are 2nd in Group 7 with one win and one draw.
They are 5 points behind leaders Turkey who have won
all three of their games.
This was Michael's 44th cap for England.
