*Dino Zoff saved two decisive penalties in the tie, qualifying Juventus to the semi-final of Champions Cup.

Story and Skills

Dino Zoff had great reliability, great professionality and was very strong.

With Juventus he played 330 matches in Serie A consecutively, playing, every Sunday, for eleven years from 1972 to 1983.

Dino Zoff was the "Man of Records" : in the Italian Championship 1972-73 was unbeated for 903 minutes (italian record until 1994) and in National Team was unbeaten from September 1972 until June 1974, during eleven international matches (record actually not achieved by any other Italian goalkeeper).

His legendary reliability was confirmed also in the European Cup where, in eleven years, he played all the matches except one in order to leave play his substitute.

In 1977, during a match against Manchester City at Main Road, suffered the fracture of a finger of the right hand, but, after medical care, he continued to play saving many times his goal.

Coaching and Beyond:

1986-88 Italian Olympic Team coach

1988-89 / 1989-90 Juventus coach , winning a "Coppa Italia" and UEFA Cup on 1990

1990-91 / 1993-94 Lazio coach

1994 Becomes Lazio's top manager

1996-97 Coaches Lazio for 16 matches until end of season and qualify it for UEFA Cup.

1998-2000 Italian National Team coach, join the European Cup final tie (loss against France 1-2 at "golden goal").
Few days after this match he re announces his resignation after Mr Berlusconi criticises his tactics for final "as amateurish".

2000-2001 After few matches Dino Zoff coaches Lazio (Mr Eriksson came to England National Team) when the club had many troubles in Champions League and in Championship too.
Coaching Lazio Zoff makes record of points in this season and Lazio takes 3rd place in italian championship after an incredible run-up.
The year after Lazio started bad on Championship and Mr Cragnotti, former Lazio's owner, decided to remove Zoff from the coaching, employing him on the society management,
