About Bob 70-71

In the days when internationals from abroad were rare and black footballers had still not yet been capped for England, along came Clyde Best. Clyde played for Bermuda in the qualifying stages of the 1970 World Cup, and became the UKs best known black player in the early Seventies. He was a fast and powerful forward, who remains a popular icon for this era of football. Clyde also played in the NASL - the US football league of the mid-Seventies.
