FKS 1970-71 - Arsenal

The Arsenal were always the biggest rivals where I grew up, Arsenal fans were everywhere, it was very annoying. Indeed, Nick Hornby had only just left my secondry school, Desborough, when I joined. Not only that, but they kept beating Leeds Utd. (7-0 in 1979!!) and winning things generally.

In fact, 1970-71 was the first double winning team for Arsenal, in the days when a double was a double. Of course, it was Leeds that beat them in the cup final the following year (cue David Coleman, "Clarke ... 1-0 ! "). The players featured in the World of Soccer Stars album (less Ray Kennedy) were also the winners of the Fairs Cup in 1969 -70.

Note Leeds Utd. and disgraced former Arsenal manager, George Graham (disgraced, because he later managed North London rivals, Spurs ).
