EVENTS THIS ISH:

Cam's ghostly spirit hovers bolsteringly over this post-himself ish, having foresightedly arranged several elements (such as the cover; also he coincidentally materialises in the office at the exact moment we're rummaging around for the wording of the chief coverline, supplying the gag off the top of his misty head) before making an approving gesture with his wispy digits and evaporating with seemly dignity.

He then coalesces again in coughing embarrassment to ask if someone can open a window and waft him through with a thick magazine (eg, not ours).

It's also the end of an era this month as legendary contributor Rich Pelley inexplicably decides he'd rather have international adventures across continents than write Complete Control for the 29th time; though by driving away the steeply raked staircase at wobbling speed as he's halfway up to the door of his rumbling jet, we manage to persuade him to return one final time for AP65, in which he is killed.

Plus! We lose shadowy music promoter Paul Mellerick.
