EVENTS THIS ISH:
Matt Bielby leaves (to launch a million mags, including Super Play, PC Gamer, Total Film and Arcade), bringing to a close the Golden Age. Mark becomes AP's second Ed. We all put on our dancing trousers as instructed but manage to jam both feet down one leg with typical flummery ineptitude.
Amanda Cook leaves (to Art Ed Mega). Jacquie Spanton is poured into her luxurious spinny chair.
Tim Norris arrives (in a Bentley Vanden Plas Le Mans Tourer with squeeze-bulb horn and long, external gear lever that can be unbolted and employed to thrash oiks).
Spindly mag veterans Rich "Insert "Insert Morrissey" Morrissey Joke Here" Longhurst and Adam "Smash the State, Lend Me a Tenner" Peters are lassoed.
Dave Golder usurps control of the PD section from Stuart Campbell by the ruthless tactic of asking if he can do it instead. (Dave is compelled by a brain fluke to buy lots and lots of rubbish sci-fi videos, so it was either seize PD or become an assassin and Dave's famous gleaming teeth tend to disclose his lurks.)
Karl Foster bows out (possibly to hunt down the authors of Epic with a combine harvester after Dave declines the contract because of etc) later to become grand high overlord of Futurenet (possibly after eliminating his rivals with a threshing machine).
Neil West leaves (for (blimey) America), later returning to take over critically acclaimed though seldom purchased Arcade from Matt. (It all ties up, really.)
AMIGA POWER's first official circulation figures appear this month. Modestly, this permanent flannel panel fixture is introduced without fanfare. Later updates will be diligently featured in the news section if ("Currant Bun" - Ed) haven't sold more that time, or something.
