The road, that is.
The epic photo-story mystery Where's Ming?, plus the return of the blue paper and The Sinister Blueness clearly suggest a conclusion to the Subs Letter Saga. This was a complete coincidence though, and no further Subs Letters appeared before I left AP only because I am rubbish.
It was statistically likely that by this point the only remaining AP subscriber was Reader Millington, whose meandering letters usually appeared in the Subs Letter anyway. This is quite a good joke on Mills' household budget.
I do not know if any subsequent issues featured the return of the Ed's Letter to Subscribers, but have asked Mills to check approximately nine years late.

I can say that there was definitely one with ish 59: it's written by Tim, and basically says, "I'm all alone here and the publisher has turned off the heating."

I liked the Subs Letters.
